These Jumbo Silk Flowers are all two toned with a clip and a pin back! We have been taking orders. They are great for hair, sweaters, jackets, suits, etc.  These are really popular in the store right now!

Texture!

I love this time of year, when one uses more texture in their projects, etc. The velvets are a beautiful addition to wreaths, sewing, hair, etc. We have such a large selection of high quality velvets, they are absolutely beautiful!!!
I love our leaf ribbon we have in suede...russian netting, burlap, silk,  all these things add TEXTURE to everything you do. Why texture is so important is that it makes things look rich and luxurious....it adds depth and interest and also adds a personal touch.

Pictures will follow next week...I have my camera full from pictures at The Greek Festival this weekend...it was my daughters first year of dancing in the GOYA group...hence...I need to empty my camera. I will do the photos next week :)

Ring Pillows Made with Midori and Lady Chiffon Ribbon

Erin Bowers is a mother of a bride that came in to the store. She wanted something special for the ring pillows in her daughters wedding.  We came up with the idea of making a large rosette out of our beautiful ribbon on a small pillow. I made the large Rosettes and Erin made the pillow. I was so thankful to her for bringing the pillows back in to see the finished product. They turned out beautiful!  Thank you Erin!

So excited to receive our Russian netting in! Yes, that is right, we are getting Bird cage netting in! Will post when it is in!!

This is for all of you who I come in contact with on a daily basis.  Women of all backgrounds and walks of life, Brides, Young Moms, Not yet Moms, Grandmothers and everyone else.
I get inspired by you all everyday. I love seeing the projects you do and often tell myself how amazed I am at the business of your lives with children, etc, but yet you have the time and energy to focus on the details of your lives and projects and decorate it with ribbon!
I love the conversations we have and getting to know what is going on in your lives. I am always reassured, in spite of the awfulness of of what is going on in the world, that we are lucky to be living in a healthy vibrant community. I am touched by my customers, who come in here talking about the help they do for others. Decorating with yellow ribbons because someone they know is coming home, staying up at Primary Children's Hospital tending to a sick child and feel the need to keep busy with your hands and making things out of ribbons, usually for other sick patients. I know a lot of what you do extends far beyond this modest ribbon store. I am just thankful to be a small part of each and everyone of your lives.  I wish you all the best Mother's Day, spending time with your families and cherishing every moment, because it isn't really about that one day that is special, having a mom makes EVERYDAY special:)

I LOVE our Brooches! I have carried them since I opened in 2005 and today, they are hotter than ever!
Brides are loving them on their cakes and bouquets..it is something special they can keep long after their  special day.

These are great! I wear them on  my hats, on headbands,  on my purses, just about anywhere! Oh yes,  even on my lapel, although, I don't have anything that has a lapel, but you get my jist.

I always get so many compliments! I can't tell you how excited I am that they are back in. Most people think they add a vintage flair, I guess they do, but I think they add a special touch where you normally wouldn't expect one. 

These are for you who like gold! I have one that is gold too, but I love this cameo.  Cameos ROCK!

Ordering

We get many questions about ordering bows and ribbon. Well, I had a website, full shopping cart and all, and I think my customers are just use to our personal and custom services we offer, because, people never ordered on the site....they called me or emailed me, because they wanted a certain bow, only a little bit different, because they knew we would do it to their satisfaction. Besides, I realized, what we are really known for is the uniqueness of our creations, so how can I have a shopping cart with "standard bows"...where you can get anywhere?

So I started this blog, really to showcase what we do and offer here. This way, in keeping up with our custom and personal nature of things, people still order, and order exactly what they want. I show here my ribbons and what we do and have done.  Sometimes, I forget to bring my camera, and some really cute orders go out the door without me taking a picture. Oh well...

Yes, it is that time of year, where most of us want spring, but it isn't quite here yet. There are some things to look forward to though,  we are starting to get in new colors for spring, expanding our Midori and hand dyed silks! OOhhh! I am so excited!

We also have been  working on some new things, when I can I will post them!

Also, we have had so many requests for the brooches we sell, we will be getting more in, they are beautiful and at such a good price! Brides are loving them for their cakes, and they are great to put on headbands for weddings and proms! Don't pay that ridiculous mall price for something you can make yourself! Or I can help you figure it out:)

Just a reminder, since wedding season and prom season are just around the corner, don't forget to bring the dress you want to match, we have so many colors that it is amazing how many shades just one color comes in, isn't it?  We also will make hair pieces for flower girls, flowers for mother of the brides, so many things we do.
